a very special cup of tea - London

Feeling a bit posh?

Why not stop for some tea and cake at the Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon at Fortnum & Mason. If it is good enough for HM The Queen then it must be alright.

Fortnum & Mason serve a variety of sweet and savoury afternoon and high tea menus in their Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon, priced from £44 (approx $72 aud), below is a sample Menu:

Not enough time or money to stop for afternoon tea?

Then do be sure to at least take a stroll through the Iconic Fortnum & Mason Food Hall. It is very swish and you can shop for treats like Tea, cookies, spreads, Potted Welsh Rarebit or a Scotch Egg - Which were invented by Mr Fortnum by the way.

Here in Australia David Jones stock some of their goodies, so if you are thinking about getting a tin of tea or a box of biscuits for a souvenir then be sure to check here first so you don't lug something around for weeks and then find out it is cheaper at home.
