Grab = has taken over Uber in Malaysia.

Fort Cornwallis

Built by the British East India Company in lat 1700s. Largest standing fort in Malaysia.

like going to India, but just a little bit.

Colourful neighbourhood with dozens of shops & vendors for Indian clothing, jewellery & street food. Starts around Sri Mahamariamman Temple

 

Chulia St

Very popular at night for street food, hub for cheap sleep and eats. Less than 100mtrs from hotel.

Armenian St

a narrow street in the entre of the UNESCO area of Georgetown, has a Saturday night street fair

with performers and market stalls. Armenians arrived via India over 200yrs ago.

Beach St

On Sunday's "Occupy Beach Street", closed to traffic, market and activities - until around 1pm.
